- About us
The reality we're responding to
A place of resilience — and of quiet crisis
In Yumbe District, home to one of the largest refugee settlements in the world, thousands of women carry more than their share. Girls forced out of school by early pregnancy. Young mothers with no income and no safety net. Widows, women with disabilities, and survivors of violence — refugee and host-community alike — doing everything right and still locked out of the tools that could change their lives: a skill, a savings group, a market, a second chance at school.
They are not waiting to be rescued. They are waiting for a partner.

Be part of the beginning
We are just getting started. That's exactly why we need you now.
Every established organization you admire began exactly where we are today. The women waiting for their first VSLA meeting, their first training session, their first chance — they’re waiting right now. A founding donor, a founding partner, a founding volunteer doesn’t just fund a program. They build the foundation everything else stands on.
